Community Guidelines

Last updated: 16 September 2026

Bröllopsappen is designed to be a warm, private and respectful space where couples and their guests can plan, celebrate and remember a wedding together.

These Community Guidelines apply to everyone using Bröllopsappen and to all content shared through the app, including chat messages, private messages, photos, captions, comments, memories, profile pictures, display names and other user-generated content.

Please read these Guidelines together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

1. Be respectful

Treat other users with care and consideration. Weddings bring together people of different ages, backgrounds and relationships. Content and communication should contribute to a safe and welcoming experience for everyone involved.

Disagreements may happen, but harassment, intimidation and deliberately hurtful behaviour are not acceptable.

2. Content and behaviour that are not allowed

You may not use Bröllopsappen to share, send or promote content that:

  • harasses, threatens, bullies, humiliates or targets another person;

  • promotes hatred, discrimination or violence based on characteristics such as ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or identity;

  • is pornographic, sexually explicit, exploitative or otherwise seriously inappropriate;

  • depicts or encourages serious violence, self-harm, dangerous behaviour or illegal activity;

  • exploits, endangers or sexualises children or young people;

  • impersonates another person or misrepresents your identity;

  • contains scams, spam, malware, malicious links or deceptive promotions;

  • infringes copyright, privacy, image rights or other rights belonging to another person;

  • shares another person’s private or sensitive information without permission;

  • repeatedly contacts someone who has asked not to be contacted;

  • attempts to bypass access restrictions, blocking, reporting or moderation measures; or

  • otherwise violates applicable law, our Terms of Use or the purpose of the service.

Content involving child sexual exploitation or abuse is strictly prohibited and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.

3. Photos, memories and personal information

Only upload photos and other material that you have the right to share.

Consider the privacy of everyone appearing in a photo or memory, particularly children. Where appropriate, obtain permission from the person concerned or from a parent or legal guardian before sharing the content.

Do not share sensitive personal information—such as private contact details, financial information, identification documents or precise location information—unless it is genuinely necessary and you have permission to do so.

Remember that other members of the wedding may be able to view, save or capture content shared within the app.

4. Private communication and blocking

Private chat must be used respectfully. Do not continue contacting someone who has asked you to stop.

You may use the blocking function to prevent further private contact from another user. Blocking a user in a private conversation does not automatically remove that person from the wedding or from shared group areas.

If you feel threatened or unsafe, report the user or content and contact the appropriate local authorities in urgent situations.

5. Reporting content or users

If you encounter content or behaviour that may violate these Guidelines, use the reporting option available in the app.

You can also contact us at support@brollopsappen.se.

Reports should be made honestly and in good faith. Misusing the reporting system to harass another person or repeatedly submitting deliberately false reports is not permitted.

We will handle reports as confidentially as reasonably possible. However, we may need to review relevant account and content information to investigate a report and take appropriate action.

6. Moderation and enforcement

Wedding owners and administrators may manage content within their wedding. Bröllopsappen may also review reported content and behaviour.

Depending on the circumstances, we may:

  • hide or remove content;

  • issue a warning;

  • restrict access to certain features;

  • prevent contact between users;

  • temporarily suspend or permanently close an account;

  • prevent a user from rejoining a wedding; or

  • preserve information or contact the appropriate authorities when required by law or necessary to protect someone’s safety.

We consider the context, seriousness and frequency of the behaviour when deciding what action to take. Serious violations may result in immediate action without a prior warning.

We cannot review every piece of content before it is shared, but we aim to respond to reports as promptly as reasonably possible.

If you believe an action was taken in error, contact support@brollopsappen.se.

7. Your responsibility

You are responsible for the content you share and for your interactions with other users.

Access to a private wedding does not remove your responsibility to follow these Guidelines. Wedding owners, co-owners and administrators must also comply with the same rules.

8. Changes to these Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines when Bröllopsappen changes or when legal, safety or platform requirements evolve.

If an update materially affects how you may use the service, we will provide appropriate notice and may ask you to accept the updated version before sharing new content.
